Starting from the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 + all the way up to OnePlus 8 Pro, Oppo Find X2 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 10 and eventually the mother of all Android phones of 2020 - Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Qualcomm Quick Charge Version 5.0 is Here and It has taken Fast Charging to Next Level!

It's been quite some time since Qualcomm has shared an upgrade to it's Quick Charge technology 4.0. More and more vendors are looking for getting the huge batteries pumped up as quickly as possible. With technologies like 5G, 120Hz refresh rate, High GPU Clocking, it's only logical that the power gets siphoned out quickly and that's the reason for high battery capacity. High battery capacity leads to the next issue which is time taken to charge the battery. That's where the Qualcomm Quick Charge Solution comes into action.  As you can see the Quick Charge 4.0 was upto 2.5 times faster than the regular charging speeds while the Quick Charge 5.0 could speed it up to 10 times the regular charging speeds. This opens up gateways to get the 100 W of power blazing through those charging cables.  The Tech Behind It ? It's essentially shifting some of the heat to the chargers wherein the voltage can be delivered to 2 cells instead of 1 at the device. The current voltage

HDR 10+ is Serious Threat to Dolby Vision!

All that we hear nowadays is more and more of tech jargon that only add to the pile of existing non user friendly list. New addition to this list is the HDR10+ certification that is mainly a content viewing related certification. These certifications are just proofs that the content you view on your TV, Mobile, Tablet or any device meets certain quality. How many of you remember the last time you visited a theater and have seen the Dolby Vision or Dolby Audio Advert ? Dolby vision is one example of such certification. Basically, they provide means to the " content creators " ,a control of how they want their viewers to see their content. For quite some time, Dolby has been able to capture the attention of many of the theaters or streaming services like Netflix and Amazon and some of the smartphone manufacturers to support their product. The issue is the Royalties ! Yes, Dolby issues licenses to companies to use their standards and also provides assistance to them in set

Can Nokia Get Back in the Game with Nokia 9.3 PureView 2020?

Nokia was a market leader back in the early 2010's and soon started to fizz out of the market when it decided to lean towards Microsoft's Windows instead of Google's Android. People talk about this grave business blunder even today and discussed as a case study under "things not to do when you are a market leader". Unfortunate as it may be for Nokia, they have heavily downsized their workforce since then and even sold their brand rights to HMD Global which now sells smartphones under the brand name of "Nokia". If you are one of those people who owned a Nokia phone (not a smartphone) , your brain would instantly trigger an audio of the Nokia ringtone. Now, Nokia may have tried to make its way back in the smartphone business but has been heavily lagging as compared to its competitors. Main reason being the funding and out of trend specs for hefty price. They have introduced the 3 series, 5 series, 8 series and even the flagship 9 series of smartpho

Why does Android Copy Apple ?

There's a war out there .. a fierce one ..and there's no definitive way to decide the winner ..both are tough competitors .. it's getting scarier by the day ...I think I will end with that build up as I am pretty sure you got the drift - the Android vs iOS War! When the first iPhone had released with this futuristic design and software, I was an instant fan. Granted that I was just a naive teenager at that time , over the years I have gathered enough to make the right decision which is - Neither of them is perfect...Just kidding Android all the way! But there's one thing I have always observed is be it any kind of ridiculous feature and however it may be criticized Apple used to come up with it and make truck load of profit off it hands down! They were bold and courageous enough to take the risk and also excel at it. The Android counter parts which initially would mock it , eventually would launch a cheaper phone with similar feature.  source:cnet,pocket-lint
