So far, we have all used at some point or the other a Samsung phone and have always seen either performance issues or heating issues or in some cases blasting ones. And Samsung puts a lot of R&D into manufacturing these chipsets but somehow doesn't show up on the quality marks. In 2020, the differences have come out even more glaringly compared to the Qualcomm Snapdragon series.
But, looks like Samsung has finally listened to its customer's woes and has done something to fix it. It's planning to launch the Exynos 2100. Yes, 2100! Not 1000 as was claimed earlier in some rumors.
If these numbers are to be considered , then finally we have solution for the performance issues! And it's going to be featuring on the Samsung Galaxy S21 phones. The main reason behind this is Samsung ditching its in house custom designed CPUs to ARM Cortex-X1 processor. And it's pretty much following the Qualcomm way of developing the chipset architecture. It may well be 1 Cortex-X1 plus 3 - Cortex A78 and 4 Cortex A77 combo that might be used.
Well, these early results need to be taken with a pinch of salt as these are not final optimized software build benchmarks, it does gives us a glimpse of what the Exynos 2100 is capable of.
This leaked pic by twitter leakster @IceUniverse , gives us comparison between performance of the 2 flagships of 2021.
This is not the only interesting news for 2021, as reports confirm some of the Chinese OEMs approaching Samsung for Exynos chipsets in their mid premium smartphones. This would mean that Samsung Exynos market share would rocket up in 2021 and that would mean Snapdragon 700 series would face serious market competition! Look out Qualcomm!
